Let me introduce you to our Study With Adam Guitar Legend hailing from Austria, Heimo Gladik!
I got a chance to talk with Heimo about his music, and we had a great time making this video.
Heimo has been playing the guitar for an impressive 45 years. His love for the guitar has been one of the constant things in his life. His passion for playing the guitar has only grown stronger with time, and he recently joined Study With Adam, an online guitar course run by Adam Rafferty (yours truly).
Heimo joined Study With Adam in April 2021 and has nothing but praise for the platform.
Currently, Heimo is in the process of refreshing his repertoire, dusting off old pieces, and adding new musical touches in the process. He plays a beautiful Goodall guitar, a traditional orchestra model handmade by James Goodall. Heimo’s love for music extends beyond the guitar, as he enjoys listening to a wide range of genres, including classical music, alpine folk music, world music, pop, and rock.
Heimo draws inspiration from a wide range of guitarists, including Peter Ratzenbeck, Tommy Emmanuel, Joe Robinson, Masaaki Kishibe, Manuel Randi, Martin Tallstrom, and of course, Adam Rafferty. Peter Ratzenbeck has been the most important influence on his guitar playing, as Peter supported and encouraged Heimo in many workshops and on stage.
In addition to his love for the guitar, Heimo has a passion for photography. In his latest YouTube videos, he tries to combine these two hobbies, creating a unique and exciting experience for his viewers.
Heimo’s dedication to the guitar is truly inspiring. He has been playing for 45 years and continues to improve his skills and expand his repertoire. Heimo’s love for the guitar and music, in general, is a testament to the power of music and how it can enrich our lives. Heimo’s journey shows that with dedication and passion, anyone can become a guitar legend like him.
