Here’s my performance of the Irving Berlin classic – “Cheek to Cheek” fingerstyle guitar version.
My favorite version is the classic by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong on the “Ella and Louis” album. The Oscar Peterson trio is playing as the support band, and the groove is happening! You’ll hear the influence from that version in the intro.
I particularly like Richard Smith’s guitar version of this one as well! I guess he’s influenced by Chet. So, the key of A is very good for guitar. I hope you enjoy this!
In this video, I’m playing my custom Daniel Zucali Nylon String Crossover with yes…real iron rust as the lacquer. It’s amazing! I call it the SOHO Model – check it out HERE.
